Rollinwood Manor features a three-story building with an elevator, energy-efficient one- and two-bedroom apartments, a secure keypad entry system, and accessible units for people with disabilities. The $5.8 million development was financed in large part by federal and state tax credits awarded by the N.C. Housing Finance Agency. Enterprise Community Investment then purchased the federal credits, providing equity for the project.

The Agency finances the statewide construction of affordable rental apartments using federal and state housing credits, low-interest loans, and tax-exempt bond allocations. In addition, the Agency administers the state’s Housing Trust Fund, which finances independent living apartments for people with disabilities in many Housing Credit properties.

“Representative Tolson’s support for affordable housing makes developments like this possible,” said Bob Kucab, executive director of the N.C. Housing Finance Agency. “Rollinwood Manor is an example of the type of housing financed by the Housing Trust Fund.”
