Oak Ridge Park Breaks Ground in Ayden September 5

RALEIGH— On September 5, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held for Oak Ridge Park in Ayden. Oak Ridge Park will provide 80 new, affordable apartments for working families in the area thanks to an innovative new partnership between the NC Housing Finance Agency and the Golden LEAF Foundation in an effort to finance affordable workforce housing in rural North Carolina.

Developed by the Resource Housing Group, Inc., Oak Ridge Park was financed with federal Housing Credits allocated by the NC Housing Finance Agency and $2 million in subordinate loans from the Golden LEAF Foundation. 

“Our partnership with the Golden LEAF Foundation allows us to help address housing shortages in rural communities across the state,” said Scott Farmer, NC Housing Finance Agency executive director. “Oak Ridge Park will be essential to uplifting its community with safe, affordable housing.”
